I aim to deliver more than your average singer-songwriter experience - blending a smooth (often dark) vocal with my own style of percussive guitar to render a fuller sound encompassing
drums, bass, chords and even guitar solos on just one instrument, no loop pedals in sight!
My roots are in Yorkshire, England, where I began to play lead guitar in a church band over 15 years ago.
These days I've relocated to Scotland and after descovering the world of 'Fingerstyle', I've developed my technique on acoustic guitar attempting to draw from just one guitar the breadth of sound more associated with a band.
Today I can be found playing at pubs and festivals in Scotland and cultivating a following online.
My slightly unusual style makes it hard to label a genre but comparisons have been drawn to that of John Martyn, Tony McManus and Andy Mckee among others.
- “Amazing guitarist, sounds like two!” – Craig Royle, Dundee Musician
- “Beautiful Mate. Really proud of you” – Jon Gomm, UK guitar virtuoso
- “Dad always practices guitar while I’m trying to watch TV” - Lori, Aged 10
I'm excited to have recently released my début album, Cast Adrift, connecting with a wider audience and taking my show across the UK and further.
